Fun tour!
The CNN tour is a fun way to spend a couple hours in Atlanta. You really do get a behind the scenes look and can watch the news being broadcast worldwide. Also fun to see how they do the green screen weather thing.

Yummy Italian food!
Located in the Embassy Suites near Crabtree Valley Mall, Nicola's is a hidden treasure. Of course it's great to order room service from them if you're staying at the hotel, but the food is good enough to stand alone as a destination. The service is fine too.

Great Coffee
The barristas here know their stuff. This is a great Starbucks location, though most Starbucks are good, with well-trained (if a bit haughty) employees. I recommend the caramel macchiato, iced or hot.

An old family fave!
Chinese Gardens has been in business on 4th Street forever. Clearly, their food quality and service have stood the test of time. Whether ordering take-out or dining in, you won't be disappointed.

Panda Inn Chinese Restaurant

It's alright.
Panda Inn is just okay. I've never been overly impressed by their buffet, which seems to be their mainstay (or at least the reason my friends go there). There are much better Chinese restaurants around, with better food and better atmosphere. Still, it'll fit the bill if you're in the area and want a quick cheap meal.

FUN stuff!
I almost always enjoy shopping at Bed Bath & Beyond. Though the customer service leaves something to be desired, they have such a multitude of housewares that it's fun to shop here. Whether you're getting married or looking for a wedding gift, their gift registry is a great help!

Shop The Bon!
The Bon Marche remains my idealized view of a department store. They have almost everything you could want, whether apparel, jewelry, or cosmetics, and their service is better than most. This Valley location is convenient too.

Chips 'n' Vinegar
I'm not big on seafood, but I do love Skippers fried chicken and "chips" -- that's fries for the uninitiated. The thing I like best about this Skippers location (and maybe it's true of them all), is that they have a couple different kinds of vinegar available to shake onto your fries. YUMMM! Service is okay here.

Late Night Fare
Great service here and a staff that really cares about their customers. The food is your typical Perkins fare, which means it's a good "American" style meal with not a lot of frills. The prices are decent, and they're open late!

Expo '74 no more!
Originally part of the 1974 World's Fair, Riverfront Park is a favorite destination when visiting Spokane. Whether visiting the carousel, garbage eating goal, giant red wagon (slide down the handle!), seeing an IMAX movie, ice skating in the pavilion, or taking a gondola ride over the falls, Riverfront Park has something for everyone. Prices are a tad high, but you can really spend as much or as little as you want.
