Predictably good
Quick and easy. They do lay it on thick with the mayonaise though so tell them light mayo. Chicken biscuit with tomato, mayo, and lettuce is the classic. And it is a great way to start your day. You only need one as the biscuits chicken and biscuit are rather large comparative to Hardees and especially Bojangles. Two thumbs up for this place.

Ehhh... skip this one. Not worth the money.
Top of the hill is like a ferris wheel. You pay to get on the ride just to overlook the parking lot where the fair is being had and then often times you get through and ask yourself did I really just pay for that? The one redeeming feature is its location at the top of Franklin Street. You can see almost all of Franklin Street from atop the restaurant which is romantic... kind of. But the quality of the food combined with the high prices is outrageous. I think the only reason this one has stuck around for so long is location, location, location. Pretty much is this businesses saving grace.

Competitor
I really see this burrito joint as the only competitor to the undeniable king of burritos in Chapel Hill, Cosmic Cantina. Carburritos is nice though to mix it up. Distinctly different taste. Its more of a american-mexican burrito place. This usually isn't pulled off well at all, but Carrburritos is the exception to this. Its not bad when compared to Cosmic just different. I think its worth eating at.

Worth Stopping In If You Can Find it!
This one is nestled back in a corner between a realtor and Tandoor Indian restaurant. Great place to go and write in a journal. They have wine, beer, tea, coffee, pastries... about everything you could think should be in a cafe. People are correct, the baristas can be snobby but they know their craft. Make excellent beverages. Aside from the occasionally shoddy customer service this place is still worth stopping by. Their weird pastry (don't know the name!) with apples on it is pretty amazing combined with a hot coco. Also, they play live music sometimes and the back side of the establishment is connected to a nature trail which is pretty cool.

Beer.. Yes... Food... No.
Decent place to stop for a drink. Although I don't suggest ordering any food. Its just not very good. They need to reinvent their menu or switch out the kitchen staff or something. Perhaps buy better ingredients? I don't know what it is precisely just something is wrong with the food here. It is off.

Good place for reading/studying/snacking/laughin'
Big sandwich selection. All the ingredients are very fresh. This is the sister store to the one in Durham. Not sure which came first, but both are of equal quality and taste. Used to eat here relatively frequently to the point that I got tired of it. Its pretty good. Try the panini.

Worth a shot
I have been a regular here for quite some time. The service level shifts naturally with the changes in staff. That is unavoidable, yet, thankfully the recipes don't change. This place is worth a shot. Its quick and there is tons of parking unlike trying to go to Peppers Pizza on Franklin. Go there if you have the time. This place is for a quick drop in and pick up or dine in. Try the tomato basil pizza... delicious!

What a great find!
Found this one by asking one of the valet parking guys where to eat. He pointed me in this restaurants direction which I couldn't be more thankful for. Ever go to a nice restaurant and spend a decent amount of money and walk away hungry? This won't be that place. One of maybe two nice restaurants that I have eaten in my life where I feel as though the cost is justified and reflected in the quality and amount of food that is received. Left here very full and satisfied with my dining experience. To be quite frank, the Lantern tops my list of favorite fine dining experiences within Chapel Hills small selection. I had the lamb chops which were stupendous. Highly recommended this place. Getting hungry thinking about it!

A Chain Done Right
I am not fond of chain restaurants at all but the Cheesecake factory is definitely an exception. Been to three different stores and they are all exceptionally identical, which is the point of a chain restaurant! Whats most important though is that the above average level of quality was maintained at all of them including the one in Raleigh and Durham. This store in particular is more excitingly laid out than the one in Durham at Southpoint. Great place for a quick unplanned date!

One of those classics.
Pepper's Pizza goes in the same category as Cosmic Cantina. Just one of those classic Chapel Hill restaurants. Pizza and atmosphere are great. Establishment is full of working college students which keeps the atmosphere young and vibrant. Try the house salad with honey poppy seed dressing its amazing! This is one of my own and many others favorite local stop for pizza.
